India Blockchain Week (IBW) 2026 has been officially announced for December 8-14 in Mumbai, with a theme centered on enterprise blockchain adoption and India's role in the global Web3 ecosystem. The week-long event will feature a main conference, developer workshops, startup pitch competitions, and networking events spread across multiple venues in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex.
Main Conference Highlights
The main conference, scheduled for December 10-12, will host over 200 speakers across six tracks: Enterprise Blockchain, DeFi and CeFi, Regulation and Compliance, Developer Tools, AI and Blockchain, and India's Digital Economy. Confirmed speakers include executives from Infosys, TCS, and Reliance Jio — companies that are actively exploring blockchain integration for supply chain management, identity verification, and cross-border payments.
Enterprise Focus
A key differentiator for IBW 2026 is its emphasis on enterprise adoption. India's IT services industry, which generates over $250 billion in annual revenue, is increasingly incorporating blockchain into its service offerings. The conference will feature case studies from companies that have successfully deployed blockchain solutions for Indian government agencies, banks, and manufacturing firms.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is expected to present on its exploration of blockchain technology for enhancing UPI's cross-border payment capabilities, a development that could have significant implications for remittances — India's largest source of foreign income at over $125 billion annually.
Startup Ecosystem
The IBW Startup Pitch Competition will feature 50 finalists selected from over 500 applications, competing for $2 million in prizes and investment commitments. Categories include fintech, supply chain, healthcare, and gaming. Previous IBW winners have gone on to raise significant venture funding, making the competition a launchpad for India's next generation of blockchain startups.
Developer Workshops
Full-day developer workshops will be conducted in partnership with Ethereum Foundation, Solana Foundation, and Polygon Labs. The workshops will focus on building with account abstraction, creating cross-chain applications, and developing AI-integrated blockchain solutions. All workshops are free of charge to encourage developer participation.
Registration
Early bird registration is now open at ₹5,000 ($60 USD) for the main conference, with student passes available at ₹1,500 ($18 USD). Organizers expect over 10,000 attendees across the week's events.
